Kasabian
The English band Kasabian came into force in 1999. The band’s line-up includes Tom Meighan (lead vocals), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums), Sergio Pizzorno (guitar and vocals) and Ben Kieley. The band got their name from the driver involved in the Manson family murders, Linda Kasabian.
Kasabian released their self titled debut album in 2004 and it reached No.4 in the UK charts. The album included singles, “Reason is Treason”, “L.S.F”, “Processed Beats” and critically acclaimed “Club Foot” which was used as the theme tune for a number of computer games. During the recording of Kasabian’s second album, “Empire” founding member Chris Karloff left the band for artistic and creative differences. The album, released in 2006, reached No. 1 in the UK and yielded singles, “Empire”, “Shoot the Runner” and “Me Plus One”. In 2007 the band won Best Live Act at the 2007 NME Awards.
