Edison Lighthouse
Biography:

Edison Lighthouse was originally a studio assemblage supporting singer Tony Burrows before they released their one and only top 40 single, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes").

The original line up of Tony Burrows (vocals), Stuart Edwards (lead guitar), David Taylor (bass), George Weyman (drummer) and Ray Dorey (guitar). After this track Burrows left to pursue other projects and another group of musicians was assembled to perform under the name. Paul Vigrass replaced Burrows with David Kerr-Clemenson (bass), Andy Locke (guitar), Eddie Richards (drums) and Wally Scott (guitar).

The second edition of Edison Lighthouse reached No. 29 in the UK with "It's Up To You Petula" but because of a postal strike, returns were not sent in by record shops and the track didn't get any higher. Their next track, "What's Happening" was a huge hit in Japan. They then went on to tour Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malasia and Africa. The single released for the Africa tour was "Reconsider my Belinda" which had huge success in the African continent. The last single released was "Find Mr Zebedee". After a European tour the band decided to call it a day.
