Fatboy Slim
Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Quention Cook, is a British DJ and record producer who has celebrated a number of hits under several different guises. Stage name Fatboy Slim, Cook has been in bands The Housemartins, Beats International and Freak Power.
Born in 1963, he score his first solo hit with ''Blame It On The Bassline'' in 1989, which reached No.29, but greater things were in the pipeline.
Beats International featuring singer Lindy Layton struck No.1 with ''Dub Be Good To Me'', as did Freak Power's ''Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out', fronted by singer Jesse Graham.

Cook went onto notable success as Fatboy Slim, ''Praise You'' was a U.K No.1, and its accompanying video, directed by Spike Jonze, won numerous awards - likewise the video''Weapon Of Choice'' featuring actor Christopher Walken garnished awards.
Cook is married to TV celebrity Zoe Ball and they have one child.


In 2002, tragedy struck when the D.J played an open air concert at Brighton Beach. 60,000 were expected to attend but 250,000 people descended on the seafront resulting in over-crowding and the death of one reveller.
Cook continues in the music sphere as Brighton Port Authority.
