Biography:

Eddie Money is an American rock singer. His radio-friendly tracks and humorous music videos make him a staple in the 70s and 80s rock genre. His debut in 1977 on Columbia Records was an immediate success with the help of catchy singles “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On”.

His second album barely made a ripple in the singles charts but Money took advantage of the visual medium of MTV for his third and fourth albums, Playing for Keeps and No Control. The latter produced hits in the form of “Shakin’” and “Think I’m In Love”.

Throughout the mid-80s, Money enjoyed the rock-n-roll lifestyle but struggled with drug addiction. Another relative chart failure followed but he made a comeback in 1986 with a platinum record Can’t Hold Back which featured the mega-hit “Take Me Home Tonight”.

Numerous live and greatest hits compilation albums were released throughout the late 80s and into the 90s. His last chart successes were 1988’s “Walk on Water” and 1990’s “Peace in Our Time”.

His fan base faded away, as both 1991's Right Here and 1992's Unplug It In were largely ignored. Columbia Records dropped him from its roster of artists and he spent the remainder of the decade touring the oldies circuit.

Money’s music has been featured on everything from US sitcoms to video games and he continues to tour.
