Bruce Springsteen was born on 23rd September 1949 ( Born in The USA! ) as Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen. Nick-named ‘The Boss’ after his authoritarian manner on and off stage. Bruce is hugely popular throughout the World touring extensively with The E Street Band.
Bruce is best known for his heartland rock, poetic lyrics and attention-getting performance. Bruce’s connection with his audience and ‘man in the street’ lyrics has brought international fame for him, his unique style taking it’s root from folk, rock, hard rock, heartland rock and blues.
Springsteen has been awarded 19 Grammy awards, two Golden Globes and an academy award. Bruce sold over 65 million albums in United States and more than 120 million albums globally (so far). His wife Patti Scarlfa, is a singer songwriter in her own right, tours with him and plays in the E.Street Band (well it’s one way of keeping an eye on him !).
