Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band most famous for their critically acclaimed work of the 1980s and 1990s including their best known worldwide hit, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”. The band consists of Jim Kerr (lead vocals), Eddie Duffy (Bass guitar), Charlie Burchill (Guitar, keyboards), Andy Gillespie (Keyboards) and Mel Gaynor (Drums, percussion) and former members include Mick MacNeil, Derek Forbes, Brian McGee and Kenny Hyslop.
The band released the likes, “Life in a Day”, “Real to Real Cacophony”, “Empires and Dance”, “Sons and Fascination”, “Sister Feelings Call”, “New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84)”, “Sparkle in the Rain”, “Once Upon A Time”, “Live in the City of Light”, “Street Fighting Years”, “Real Life”, “Good News from the Next World”, “Our Secrets Are the Same”, “Cry”, “Neon Lights”, and “Graffiti Soul”.

The band have always been actively political and played at the 90th birthday tribute for Nelson Mandela at London’s Hyde Park. The band are still active and might have another album in the pipeline at the moment.
