Edwyn Collins
The Scottish musician Edwyn Collins was born on 23rd August 1959 in Edinburgh. During 1976, he formed the band, Nu-Sonics which was later renamed Orange Juice. Although they had some nominal success, Collins is better known for his solo work.
Collins received international acclaim for his song 'A Girl Like You' in 1994. This song appeared both in the US and UK charts. He has his own recording studio where he recorded his third solo album ‘Gorgeous George’.

Apart from a solo artist Collins also worked as a record producer with The Proclaimers, Robert Forster, A House, Little Barrie and The Cribs.

Collins suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 2005. Following the operation he was partially paralysed, despite this, he released his 6th solo album ‘Home Again’ in 2007 on Heavenly Records. Other albums include 'Hope and Despair', 'Hellbent on Compromise', 'I'm Not Following You','Doctor Syntax', 'A Casual Introduction' and '1981/2001'.
