Bon Jovi
Skid Row
Skid Row was formed in 1986 and spawned a successful career in the 80s hair metal genre. The original line up consisted of notorious vocalist, Sebastian Bach, former Bon Jovi guitarist Dave Sabo, drummer Rob Affuso, secondary guitarist Scott Hill and bassist Rachel Bolan.

Sabo’s relationship with Bon Jovi landed them a record deal but would also backfire for the band. According to sources, in return for the assistance, Skid Row relinquished the rights to much of its royalties.
Its debut self-titled album produced instant hits with “18 and Life”, glam metal anthem “Youth Gone Wild” and power ballad, “I Remember You”. Bach relished in the success and came under some public backlash with his wild and controversial behaviour both on and off stage.
However, their fan base remained devoted and their second album, Slave to the Grind entered the charts straight at number 1 despite it not producing any real notable singles.
Like many bands in the metal genre during this time, the grunge movement hit Skid Row hard and the band faded from the spotlight. They re-emerged in 1996 with release, Subhuman Race which surprisingly charted in the top 40 but like its previous album, produced no real noteworthy hits. By this time, the band could boast over 20 million album sales globally.

The group split and individual members pursued solo projects including Bach’s formation with Smashing Pumpkins’ drummer called Last Hard Men. Plans to record new material for the 1998 release of Skid Row’s greatest hits never materialised.
Skid Row joined the KISS farewell tour along with Ted Nugent in 2000 with singer, Johnny Solinger. The band has released a further two albums with its new front man and continues to tour.

Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is a rock band hailing from New Jersey and labeled as one of the most successful acts in America. This five-piece made up of Jon Bon Jovi (lead vocals), Richie Sambora (lead guitar), David Bryan (keyboard), Hugh MacDonald (bass) and Tico Torres (drummer) is a largely unchanged lineup from 1984. Alec John Such (bass) left the band in the mid-90s.
Boasting over 120 million album sales and an obsession with touring, Bon Jovi had its first #1 hits with third album Slippery When Wet in 1986. The band hit popularity at the right time as the hair metal genre was dominating the charts. Jon Bon Jovi’s good looks, devastating smile and flowing locks was also a hit with the ladies, so much so that when he cut his hair for the 1992 release Keep the Faith it made the headlines of CNN.

Some of Bon Jovi’s music industry trailblazing includes a 1989 MTV Video Music Awards acoustic set that is acknowledged as the inspiration for the channel’s phenomenal Unplugged series and taking a unthought-of action for the time of firing all its business advisors and agents to set up Bon Jovi Management.
The band maintained its popularity amongst the 90s grunge movement with a power ballad, Bed of Roses and an extensive arena sell-out tour schedule.

After a lengthy hiatus in the late-90s, Bon Jovi returned with Crush in June 2000. It contained the single It’s My Life which paid tribute to the band’s fictional characters, Gina and Tommy, who also featured in the classic song Livin’ on a Prayer. The song sold 8 million copies and introduced the band to a whole new generation.
Despite mixed reviews on its subsequent album releases, the new millennium sees Bon Jovi transformed into a legendary act with an induction into the UK Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a Royal Variety Performance for the Queen, and cross-over awards in the country music genre. Bon Jovi continues to write new material, collaborate and tour globally.

THUNDER
Once described (by themselves) as being the biggest rock 'n' roll band you've never heard of, Thunder are one of the great British rock acts (they sound like a cross between Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones and Bad Company - it's true). Having toured the world extensively since 1989, and released a huge body of records (both studio and live), they've notched up 18 top 40 UK hits. How? Not with massive Radio and TV support, no far from it, their success has been down to a combination of their reputation as a phenomenal live act, and the fanatical support of their ever growing fanbase.
Thunder have toured with acts such as Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Status Quo, Deep Purple, Bryan Adams, ZZ Top, Metallica, the list goes on. They've won awards galore, including best Rock Vocalist (Danny Bowes - Burrn magazine Japan) and Best Live Rock Act by readers of Kerrang magazine UK.

Thunder formed in 1989, and released their debut album "Backstreet Symphony" in 1990, which went Gold. The follow-up "Laughing on Judgement Day" (which also achieved gold status), peaked at No. 2 in the UK album charts. Their legendary appearance in 1990 at Monsters of Rock at Donington cemented their place in the hearts of British rock fans. Twenty years later, after twenty top-50 singles and 9 studio albums Thunder have announced their retirement !!
